When to visit
Bali has two main seasons: the dry season (April to October) and the wet season (November to March). The dry season is the most popular time to visit, with warm sunny days and low humidity.
Northern Bali tends to be drier and slightly cooler than the south, and often has pleasant weather even during the wet season. The water is warm year-round (26–29°C) — ideal for swimming and snorkelling.
Temperatures at Bali Mandala typically range from 24°C at night to 32°C during the day.
Visa Information
Many nationalities can enter Indonesia on a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for stays of up to 30 days, extendable once to 60 days. The VoA can now also be applied for in advance online as an e-VOA.
Please check the current requirements for your specific passport with the Indonesian embassy or official government sources before travelling, as regulations can change.

Frequently Asked
How do I get to Bali Mandala from the airport?
Bali Mandala is roughly 3.5 hours north of Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar by private car. We can arrange a private transfer for you — please mention this in your booking inquiry. Public transport to Tejakula exists but is impractical for most international visitors with luggage.
How far is Bali Mandala from Ubud?
About 2 hours by car, via the northern road. This makes it an easy add-on or alternative for guests who have spent time in Ubud and want a quieter coastal stay.
What is the best time of year to visit Northern Bali?
Bali Mandala is open year-round, and Northern Bali is comfortable in all seasons. The north is drier than the south even in the wet season (November–March), so yoga practice and beach time generally are not disrupted at any time of year.
Do I need a visa to visit Bali?
Many nationalities receive a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for stays up to 30 days, extendable once to 60 days. An e-VOA can also be obtained online in advance. Please confirm current requirements with the Indonesian embassy or official government sources before travelling.
Is Northern Bali safe?
Yes. Crime against tourists is rare, and Tejakula is a welcoming working village used to international visitors. Standard travel precautions apply (we are happy to store valuables in the safe at reception, watch your belongings in public spaces).
What should I pack for a stay at Bali Mandala?
Light, breathable clothing — linen and cotton work best in the tropical climate. Comfortable yoga wear, a swimsuit, light walking shoes or sandals, and mosquito repellent. It is recommended to bring a sarong for temple visits, as we have a limited supply only. Alternatively, sarongs can be purchased in our lovely boutique.
Can I drink the tap water in Bali?
No — the tap water is not drinkable. We provide filtered drinking water in glass bottles throughout the resort, included for all guests. No single-use plastic.
What is the difference between Northern and Southern Bali?
Northern Bali is quieter, drier, cooler, and far less touristed — black volcanic-sand beaches, working villages, fewer Western amenities. Southern Bali (Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud) is where most international tourism is concentrated, with more nightlife, shopping, and crowds.
